This time tomorrow...

Hi Team-

This time tomorrow (also a great song by the Kinks) the team store for team gear will be closed, so get your orders in by 10pm tonight. You can browse the options on the team store tab on our website, or here PW: CVSA 2024. This is your last chance this season for team sweatshirts, sweatpants, suits, and beanies. Get them today, pronto.

Also I would like to use this email to let everyone know of the Holiday break schedule.

For Christmas week:

12/23, 12/26, and 12/27 we will have practice from 4-6pm (Under 8: 4-4:30pm, 8-10: 4-5pm, Over 11: 4-6pm)

*No practice on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day- I will be running or skiing and spending time annoying my family. If some of the older kids (over 11) want to self organize a team run starting from my house, I would be glad to do a few miles with you all.

For New Year's week:

12/30, 1/2, and 1/3 we will have practice from 5:30-7:30pm (Under 8: 5:30-6pm, 8-10: 5:30-6:30pm, and Over 11: 5:30-7:30pm).

*No practice on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day- again I will likely be running and skiing, and the same offer above applies here.

Please let Coach Kari, Taylor, and I know of your practice plans over break and fill out this RSVP here.

Now that is out of way, I am working on getting more home meets together for us. We had another successful home meet this Saturday. Thank you all for helping make it such a fun experience for our swimmers. Also I want to beg forgiveness for introducing those squeaking ducks into your house. That charming squeak feature was not described on  the Amazon website, many apologies. My goal is to offer one home meet a month for our swimmers and maybe invite a new team or 2 every time. I will keep you posted as I update the schedule. I am also working on getting these meets to count for championship time cuts. I got myself on the New England Block Party Task Force Committee and we have our first meeting this Wednesday. So hopefully by next season, these times will count for more than bragging rights.

However, for this season, our block party meets do not count for times. If your swimmer has yet to make a Bronze cut (at a UVAC meet) and they are interested in going to Bronze Championships January 17th-19th at UVAC, please let me know. We can still get them into the January 5th UVAC meet, which is our last chance. Feel free to study the Bronze and Silver Time Standards and compare them to your swimmer's times from the UVAC meets on Meet Mobile or the results on our website. If your swimmer has swum faster than the cut time but slower than the cut-off time then they have qualified for the event. Please let me know if you have any questions, email, call, or text.

Thanks everyone for a great first 2 months of our inaugural season. I appreciate all you do for your swimmers. It takes a village to support these kids and I am so happy to have all of you as part of my village.

Take care and see you at the pool!

Coach Hilary
