Practice back to normal schedule!

Hi Team-

I wanted to remind everyone that we are back to our normal schedule, so we have a 6:30pm start time tonight.

I also wanted to let you all know that I have submitted Pentathlon entries, and with them the last opportunity to qualify for Bronze Championships. I am working on Bronze entries today and early tomorrow. I need to submit entries tomorrow (last chance qualifiers on the Pentathlon I can submit next Monday). So if you missed the sign up and still want to let me know ASAP by email or text and I can get your swimmer in the meet.

I have an exciting update in regards to Bronze entries, we are allowed more bonus events, so swimmers coming multiple days can do more events each day. So swimmers have more opportunities to qualify for Silvers at Bronze Champs!

I want to say thank you all who came to the meet this Sunday. It was a great meet, we had many best times. It was fun to watch the kids putting all our hard work into practice. They were nailing those dives and holding those streamlines. Swimming has so many aspects about it that requires many levels of learning to master. I still haven't mastered it and I have been at it for years. I am always striving for that perfect stroke. I want to teach persistence and discipline in my swimmers. That is what successful swimming requires, being persistent in your effort and attention to detail. Also it requires discipline in keeping yourself focused and refining your technique every single instant you are in the water.

I think our swimmers are getting it, and their skill level is getting higher and higher. They are looking more polished every day. It is a lifelong pursuit, so don't let your swimmers get discouraged if today wasn't their day. I have faith it will happen for them if they keep at it. Also what is really awesome to see, is how we are coming together as a team. I see all the kids cheering each other on or offering support after a disappointing swim. I see them giving high fives and pats on the back to one another. This is what really makes me proud, together we achieve more!

On that note, thanks for reading. I have attached results to this email. Remember practice is in 3 hours! Let me know about last minute Bronze additions before tomorrow morning in email or text!

See you at the pool!
