Saturday Meet Crew!

Hi Champlain Valley Cup Meet Crew!

I am excited to announce that we are officially running a sanctioned swim meet at our pool on Saturday morning. That means our times can be official and officially go into the US Swimming Time Database!

However, this still means we need lots of help to run the meet. Good news is that the meet will take approximately 1.5 hours and then you can get on with your busy weekends or just starfish on the floor for the rest of the day (which is what I plan on doing).

I really need help on the computer inputting results. For the first part of the meet I will have experienced helper from another team helping out. He can help show a newer person the ropes. Also it is the same system we use in the summer, so the same basic requirements in the role. This position could be a good start to your potential AO training (hint, hint, I talked about this before).

I also need 4 more timers from our team and 1 more lane wrangler (organizing kids in heats and lanes for their events). I have an experienced lane wrangler helping out, but it would be nice to have another one. 10&Unders are rather challenging to corral. I am bringing my teenager to help time in the morning. So get creative, bring a friend, bring a neighbor, and put them to work.

I wasn't able to organize a snack bar for this meet. My usual snack bar people are away and snacks for me consist of my kids foraging in cupboards or going to friends' houses. So needless to say, snack bar organization is outside my wheelhouse. So bring your own snacks!

Ok enough of that, on to meet details:

Arrive 7:45am (ouch)

Warm-Up 8-8:20am.

Meet Starts 9:05am and ends around 10:30am (hopefully).

Timers meeting is 8:40am in the hallway near the starting blocks.

Thanks everyone and I look forward to a fun morning of racing!

I have attached the meet timeline and psyche sheet. I will publish the heat sheets sometime tomorrow.

See you at the pool!

Coach Hilary
