Less Than 3 Weeks To Go!

Hi Team-

Happy Tuesday! We are in the home stretch of our first season! Way to go team! We have almost made it to the finish line.

I have a few more closing details I need to wrap up so please if I could have your attention for a few announcements:

First off, I want to congratulate our swimmers who competed at the New Hampshire State Meet. We had many fast times and personal bests. Although we were not top of the podium (we were 6th of 10), we had a good showing in the age groups we had athletes in. Special shout out to Anna Fry, our one and only senior athlete. Anna was recognized as a top prize winner in the scholarship essay contest. Way to go Anna! She also was a top performer in her 50 and 100 free, earning medals in both! I have attached results below and as always they are attached under schedule, past events, and the NHSA meet.

Next up swim-athon/banquet:

Swim-athon- Friday March 28th-

I have sent invites to everyone to set up their donation pages through dojiggity. I have not been clever enough to make donations available on a per length swam basis. I could only figure out how to make a flat donation available. So if your donors want to do a per length pledge you will have to keep track of that and have them donate after the event once we know how many lengths each swimmer has done.

Our plan is to have the 10&Under swimmers swim from 5:30-6:30pm and then the 11&Over swimmers go from 6:30-7:30pm. We will just see how many lengths they can do with minimal to no stopping in an hour time frame. For the littlest kids (Zara and Winter) we will likely only shoot for 20 minutes or until they are done with it.

Banquet- Saturday March 29th from 6-8:30pm-

We are having our end of the season banquet at Pizza 44 on Pine St. in Burlington. Please RSVP here, we need to know how much food we need to order. The cost will be $10 per person. I need to know by this Sunday March 23rd at 8pm.

Last Day of Practice is Friday April 4th.

Spring Training Option:

We are planning to offer a spring training session for 4 weeks, from April 28th to May 21st. Practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays from:

6-6:30pm for the Under 8 Group

6-7pm for the 8-10 Group

6:30-8pm for the 11&Over Group.

The cost will be $150 dollars per swimmer.

Please fill out this interest form to let me know if you are looking for spring training. If we don’t have enough interest I will likely not have the practices.

Alright everyone, thank you all. I will wait until the Banquet to wax poetic for 2 minutes. So I will spare you all for now. I am so blessed to have you all on my team. Thanks for being part of this journey. Go Sturgeons!

See you at the pool!
