Banquet Info- Please Read!

Hi Team-

I am getting excited for our Banquet this Saturday starting at 6pm at Pizza 44 on Pine St. in Burlington.

The Space:

So a few issues with this space is that it has a capacity for 80 and we have 100 people RSVPed for our banquet. Pizza 44 is being super accommodating and flexible given that over half of our attendees are kids they think we can squeeze. If we need it they are allowing us to overflow to the tap room.

The Schedule:

We also have the room for 3 hours and my talking is only going to take roughly 15 minutes or less. So I think people can flow in and out as their kid and family schedule allows.

I plan on doing remarks and small awards ceremony around 7/7:15, so people can plan their arrival time according to their preference.

We will have water, juice, and soda. There will be a cash bar in the room if you choose to partake.

Help:

I will need help with set up and clean up. Also I am looking for volunteers to bring desserts and non-alcoholic beverages to share. You know how I love the job sign-up sheets, I have included one here.

Parking:

Parking will be an issue, Pizza 44’s lot is tiny. They have overflow parking at Northstar Leasing on Sears Ln, behind Pizza 44. I have attached a map that details where this parking is located. I am sure you could also park at Champlain Elementary’s lot across the street as well.

Cost:

This event is $10 dollars per person. I have attached our CVSA Venmo, if you want to pay that now, that would be huge. If you choose to pay in cash or check (made out to CVSA), please include it in an envelope with your name/your swimmers name on it.

Second to Last Thing:

Just a reminder that we are adopting a BTC tradition of having swimmers write a note to their coaches!

Head Coaches-- Hilary, Kari, and Taylor; Student Coaches--Livy, Calvin, Liam, and Jacob

At the banquet we will have baskets for each coach to collect the letters/notes/cards. If you could have your swimmers write a note of gratitude beforehand that would be great! There will also be some note writing supplies if anyone wants to write a note/card during the banquet. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Stacy or Emily if you have any questions.

Really the Last Thing:

Thank you all for being flexible and rolling with it. It has been a great pleasure to be your head coach this season. If you can’t make it to the banquet. No worries, I will make sure if your swimmer wins an award it will get to them. Although I am fairly limited and low key in my award giving. I try to strike the right balance of giving smaller acknowledgements throughout the season with constant positive reinforcement, but keeping the end of season awards limited to a few kids in each age group (not many kids will get an award). It is always a hard time for me, but I hope everyone ends the season feeling like an accomplished and valued member of our team, whether they were decorated with many awards or not.

Ok, that is really the last thing, take care everyone. I will see you at the pool!
