NHSA Meet Calling for Job Sign-Ups and Special Note 11-12 Boys are in SAT AM session!

Hi NHSA Meet Team!

First I want to send a reminder that for this meet, the 11-12 age group is divided up differently in that the boys are in the morning and the girls are in the afternoon.

Arrival Times/Meet Schedule with Age Groups

Friday PM- Arrive at 3:30pm (scratch by 3pm) done by 8:10pm.

Friday PM is Distance and Breastroke for 11 &Over. We have 7 swimmers in this session (Wilson, Gabe, Saedi, Olivia, Maggie, Maddie, and Lara).

Saturday AM- Arrive at 7:40am (scratch by 7am) done by 1:30pm.

Saturday AM includes Relays and all events for 10& Unders plus the 11-12 Boys.

Saturday PM- Arrive at 2:50pm. (scratch by 1:30pm) done by 7:20pm.

Saturday PM includes Relays and all events for 13 & Overs plus the 11-12 Girls.

Jobs/Officiating:

We need a few more jobs filled:

Friday PM: 1 Relief Timer.

Saturday AM: 1 First Shift Heat Ribbon Award Giver (8:50am~11am), 1 Second Shift Heat Ribbon Award Giver (11am~1:20pm), 1 First Shift Deck Marshal (8am-10:45am), and 1 Second Shift Deck Marshal (10:45am~1:20pm).

Saturday PM: 1 First Shift Runner (3:45pm- 5:45pm) and 1 Second Shift Runner (5:45pm~7:20pm).

All these positions are pretty straight forward. Heat Winner Award Giver you just watch the races and award the winner with a prize, when in doubt give more prizes. Deck Marshal just monitors the warm-up lanes to make sure all kids are using sit-and slide entry (no diving or jumping). Runner just collects timer sheets after each event and delivers them to the score table. All these are great on deck positions, so get on it and sign-up for some fun on the pool deck. These things go by faster when you are serving in a role.

All meet helpers check in for your role at the volunteer table in the lobby to get your laynard that shows you are allowed on deck and serving in a meet helper role.

Please sign up here today! Team work makes the dream work. Serving in a helper role also gives you a front row seat to the action and makes the meet go by way faster. Be a meet hero!

Officials:

Please sign up for officiating. You can sign up in the Hospitality room on the pool deck (behind lane 1) an hour before the start of each session or before the meet preferred. But either way works. The Officials meeting starts 45 minutes before the start of the meet. Contact Meet Ref: Laura Lewis ([email protected]) if you have any questions or would like to let her know you are coming before the meet.

Scratches

This meet will be full with 4 hour sessions. The meet organizers need to know of scratches ASAP so there is no wasted time on empty lanes without swimmers in them. Please let me know of scratches due to illness ASAP! Text is best: 612-222-4526! Scratch deadline is 3pm for Friday PM session, 7am for Saturday AM, and 1:30pm for Saturday PM. Let me know if something is up by the deadline so I can take your swimmer out of the meet and have time to adjust relay swimmers if I can!

Thanks everyone and let me know if you have any questions! Get excited! Go Sturgeons!
