Swim-a-thon and Banquet next week!

Hi Sturgeons-

Quick reminder before we get to business: no practice this Friday and no drylands for this last week and a half of regular season.

Last practice of winter 25-26`swim season will be the swim-a-thon. Please check your junk and spam folders for the invite "Fundraising Campaign Update" from Dojiggy. A lot of the invites I sent out from this fundraising platform seem to be going there. Isn't that fun and convenient? Let me know if you need me to send you another invite for your swimmer to set up your swimmer pages and collect pledges per length or flat donations.

Swim-a-thon Friday March 27th swimmer arrive 4:30pm we will swim the 10&Unders (Crimson and Little Frys) 5-6pm and older swimmers will help us count for the younger swimmers. Then the older swimmers 11& Overs (Teal and Big Sturgeons) will swim 6:15-7:15pm and then we will give ourselves a big pat on the back and head home to refuel and gear up for the banquet the following evening.

Banquet is on Saturday March 28th, the festivities with set-up and take down will go from 4:30-7:30pm, the actual event 5-7ish. We are holding the banquet at the Dion Room on St. Mike's Campus. Violet and Stacy will help us figure out where exactly that is on campus with a map and directions next week. So stay tuned. I love Pizza 44 (they get my business at least once, maybe twice a week, but whose counting) but this will be cheaper than last year and I won't have to stress out about sneaking 135 people into a room rated for 85 people. Lessons learned from last year. We will be doing a potluck taco bar dinner, so sign-up to bring food if you are able.

Mock meet with the Y, is a completely optional, completely fun event (as are all events on our swim-team). Sign-ups are open on swim-topia. Warm-ups are at 4-4:20pm on this Saturday the 21st. I have opened 4 timing roles and I have assigned 2 officials (thank you Stacy and Alaina). Meet-sign ups close Friday the 20th at 9am.

What else for you all.... I think that is it. Please ask me questions if there is something you are not sure about. I am pretty quick/good with emails and questions.

Thanks all and see you at the pool!

Coach Hilary
