Last week of regular season, Swim-a-thon and Banquet!

Last Week of Regular Season Practice!

Hi Team-

It is really hard to believe that we have come to the end of our second winter season as a team. What an awesome couple of months it has been. Thank you everyone for being part of it! I like to think we are building something big and special.

We only have 2 major events left, back to back on Friday (Swima-thon) and Saturday (Banquet).

Swim-a-thon:

This Friday.

Arrive by 4:45pm- all groups.

5-6pm Little Frys (we will get them out at 20-30minutes) and Crimson will do the 1 hour swim challenge. Older swimmers will help count and cheer on the little swimmers.

5:15-6:15pm Teal and Big Sturgeons will do their 1 hour challenge.

I think you will be surprised by how many lengths they can do in 1 hour. It is pretty impressive, many of our older swimmers managed over 120 lengths (~3,000 yards) last year!

Here is a link to our campaign page. Let me know if you are interested in setting up a fundraising page for your swimmer. You all should have received an invite, they have been going to spam or lost in the matrix. So please read this and respond today, I can get you sorted out, or try to at least.

Banquet:

This Saturday.

At Dion Hall.

Set-up at 4:30pm, eating and socializing 5-6pm, remarks/recap/awards 6-6:30pm, 6:30-7pm goodbye and clean up.

Directions:

Turn into the Saint Michael’s College main entrance across from the cemetery off of route 15. If you are coming from the Winooski side note that you will use the right lane to exit onto Campus Rd (follow the signs). As you travel on Campus Rd, there is a large parking lot on the left (before the tennis courts). Dion Hall (marked on the map with a red x) is the building on the right side of the parking lot and has an art sculpture outside of the main door. When you enter the building, go to the third floor (elevators will be on the left—make sure to select “3” and not “3J”).

That wraps this season. Thank you for the honor and the privilege of coaching your swimmers. If you are interested, Spring Training registration is open, see earlier emails or reach out to me with any questions. Otherwise, see you at the pool!

Coach Hilary
